Sustainability
GarudaVolt exists to accelerate clean energy adoption. It would be contradictory to do that while running an unsustainable manufacturing operation.
The critical minerals in lithium-ion batteries — lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese — have complex and sometimes problematic supply chains. GarudaVolt is committed to:
[PLACEHOLDER: Define formal policy once supplier relationships are in place]
[PLACEHOLDER: Complete once facility is operational]
GarudaVolt is developing partnerships with battery recycling and repurposing entities to ensure packs we manufacture have a defined end-of-life pathway.
[PLACEHOLDER: Publish an annual sustainability brief once first year of operations is complete]
The technologies we are exploring in our R&D programme — sodium-ion, second-life repurposing — are not just commercially interesting. They represent a path to energy storage that is less dependent on geographically concentrated and ethically complex raw material supply chains.
That is a sustainability goal as much as a business goal.
