Engineering From First Principles

A battery pack is not a commodity. GarudaVolt's design process surfaces and resolves critical decisions before metal is cut or cells are ordered.

What We Design

  • Cell chemistry selection: LFP, NMC, LTO, NCA, and emerging chemistries evaluated against your use case
  • Pack architecture design: series/parallel configuration, bus bar layout, cell count optimisation
  • Mechanical enclosure design: form factor, IP rating (IP54 to IP67), vibration and shock tolerance
  • Thermal management: passive (foam/PCM), active air-cooled, liquid-cooled — selected by power density and environment
  • Battery Management System (BMS) specification and integration: SOC/SOH estimation, balancing, protection
  • Electrical protection: over-current, over-voltage, short-circuit, ground fault
  • Full design documentation: schematics, BOM, mechanical drawings, test plans
  • Simulation and pre-qualification modelling prior to physical build

7-Step Assembly Process

Designed for precision and repeatability. Every step is documented, traceable, and testable.

Cell Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

100% capacity grading, internal resistance (IR) measurement, and visual inspection. Cells outside tolerance are rejected before entering the line.

Cell Sorting & Matching

Cells grouped by capacity and IR for electrochemical balance within each pack. Mismatched cells are the leading cause of premature pack failure — we control this rigorously.

Module Assembly

Interconnection by [spot/laser welding — confirm]. Nickel or copper busbars per design spec. Torque-verified mechanical fasteners where applicable.

BMS Integration

Wiring harness assembly, cell voltage tap connections, NTC thermal sensor placement, and BMS firmware flashing and configuration.

Enclosure Assembly

Module insertion into housing, busbar torquing to spec, IP sealing, cable routing, and connector mating verification.

End-of-Line Functional Test

Charge-discharge cycle verification, BMS communication check, insulation resistance (IR) test, and Hi-pot test on every single pack.

Labelling, Documentation & Traceability

Each pack is assigned a unique serial number. Test records, cell batch details, and BMS firmware version are logged for full lifecycle traceability.

Certification is not paperwork. It is the proof our customers hand to their customers, insurers, and regulators. We are building our certification roadmap from day one — not as an afterthought.
